frick holes 13-17
Add 12 in there it's narrower than it looks we call it murder's row.
The front 9 can be had and give you a big boost. You are pumped to have a great game then the back nine kicks you in the dick.

I don't really have an issue with any of those holes besides 14.
12 looks tighter than it is, and I find it's a tougher hole mentally off the tee than it actually is. If you hit it crooked, you will be boned though.
13 isn't terribly difficult as long as your second shot stays right. You can get away with hitting your drive left or right, because it really opens up after that chute of trees. Don't hit your second left though.
14 is tough. It's less than driver, and the way the trees stick out on the right, you have to hit a cut (as a righty) while aiming left of the fairway.
15 is a forced carry, but even if you end up short of the green, there's room between the junk and the front of the green.
16 isn't bad. There's more room left than you think. If you can put it even or just past the fairway bunkers, you have a wedge or short iron in to a receptive green.
17 is a tough putting hole, especially if the pin is left. It plays a club longer than the yardage.

you have to change your approach to the course on each 9
Front: you mostly need to focus where your approach shot goes (#5 being the exception). You can get into some shitty situations around the greens on the front side
Back: you need to focus on where your tee shot goes, mostly to avoid the hazards that line most of the fairways or in the middle of #10 fairway.

Glad we aren't the only ones. We call 12-15 the Gauntlet.
