I really do not believe that Jay Ward is going to be moving back to Corner. Safety was a more natural position for him.

They might have to move him back just because of numbers but imo his natural position is nickel.

He doesn't hold up well against the run at safety. He takes bad angles. It's hard to just switch to safety and know where to be.

If a safety pops open lsu needs to go grab him. Corner is a bigger concern though.

The nickel is heavily involved in the run game. He is a good deep safety.

He struggled playing Wide Receivers in man, he is far better suited at safety than Corner.

Ward led all DBs in tackles. It wasn't close. He had 20+ more than next DB. He knew where to be more than the other DBs. He also led the teams in ints. Keep him at safety if that's an option. He might be more valuable at CB/NB though.
