No lie, but the vehicle exterior and interior probably slowed it down a little. Still impressed he drove himself to the hospital.

Yes that doesn't sound correct. Calibers can be mounted on many platforms, and 99% of people have no idea other than what they see on TV, so it's hard to say w/o official medical confirmation. A 7.62X39 round is large
and powerful and does leave a large wound channel. However, most of the available ammo is FMJ and it doesn't expand like HPJ, which would benefit the poor kid that was shot. Hope he recovers and the perp is brought down before it happens again.
