I think most guys who had a role in the hay with a person like her would thank their stars and move on. Not get all stabby and then just calmly leave.

We're told initially the two didn't know each other. Maybe that'll change, but then again, what if it doesn't? what if he was casing local places of business, looking for a target, just like her? He scoped out the chiropractor's office, seemingly asking a innocuous question that could have allowed him enough time to figure out this wasn't the place.
