parallel economy

I used to think this was crazy talk. Now I think it's 100% imperative.

I don't need a company to outwardly support causes I believe in...I just need them to keep their opinions to themselves, make good products and sell them to me at a fair price. They also can't financially support people who hate me. That's now a complete deal breaker.

Do that, I'm good. But I'm done pretending it makes me above it all to be able to look past a person's stated politics and just enjoy their work FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK ALL THAT! "Why can't you just forget politics and go enjoy that new Mark Ruffalo movie?!?" Nah...done.

Why should I have to leave my politics at the door to support some a-hole who refuses to leave theirs at the door first? I'm not beholden to spend money at the movies, or buy music, etc. It's not the birthright of entertainers and athletes to get my money, so as long as they continue to openly tell me how much they hate me, they can continue to go frick themselves and I'll continue to stop paying them anything.

Agree,….even the leftists/Marxists take notice when their wealth begins to dwindle.

Hell, I don't even need them to keep their opinions to themselves within reason.

If the CEO of some company supports ideas different from me in general public policy, no biggie. That's part of life. Not everyone agrees with you.

But these companies have gone full on "hate AussieRock and everyone like him" and on that front, frick them.
