I try to get a Grand Cherokee when I work out of town. I love them. Should I stray away from the Jeep?

Don’t know much about the 2023/2022 models.

The 2018-2021 model Grand Cherokees have gotten very good. The Pentastar 3.6L V6 is a very good engine even if it’s a bit older. The chassis on that model is actually an old Mercedes design. And Jeep has been selling virtually the same product for about 10 years now. They’ve ironed out most of the issues.

Not to be confused with the smaller front drive based Cherokee, which is a Fiat chassis that absolutely sucks. You should stay away from any Jeep or Chrysler product where the engine is mounted sideways. In fact that might be good advice for any American brand.

Every time I get in one I’m so surprised at the interior, and the driving experience. The engine is impressive and has some pep. I’m just concerned because of the Jeep brand. I don’t want to be paying out the arse on repairs 24/7.
