Saying the vaccine lessens symptoms just sounds like a huge assumption.
He stated that it decreases the period where they are infectious and can transmit the virus.
That was one of the first things the politicians started saying once they realized that their statement of “vaccinated cannot be reinfected” was no longer working.

Imo he is implying the recovery is shorter with the vaccine therefore the contagious period is shorter. I agree there is no data to back that up. There is NO difference between a symptomatic vaccinated or unvaccinated person. Same is true for asymptomatic and that’s why the testing of only unvaccinated asymptomatic is dumb and an absolute waste of time/resources.
