You argue like an fricking invalid. Aren’t you an attorney? I assume you never see a court room. Crossbows have been around since regular bows. They were very prominent in medieval times. Why would a high tech crossbow be less primitive than a high tech compound bow?

I don’t care what anyone hunts with as long as it’s legal but there is definitely a difference between a medieval cross bow and today’s hell there’s a huge difference between compounds today and the ones i shot in 1986. That being said I have a cross bow and have shot pigs with it I hunt with a cross bow and just started back shooting a recurve ( used one for years and killed numerous deer with one) .
Each one in my opinion is is progressively harder to kill deer with.
Recurve needs lots of practice to be proficient, short range shots and a lot of things that can make for a missed chance ( form, not being able to hold at full draw, needing deer so close you get busted)
Compound is easier to shoot and takes less reps to stay proficient.
But still you have to draw that sucker and hold it and can sometimes pull a shot even if you range it and have yardage sometimes you draw and the deer don’t offer a shot and you let down and get busted.
Crossbow is easy, there’s a reason the ol boy borrowed one to go shoot tbat deer. He knew he couldn’t killl it with a regular bow so he borrowed a cross bow he had never shot and killed it.
There’s no argument with tbat because he said it. Hats off to him for doing the right thing and following the law (he could have used a gun)
But there is a difference between that archery kill and all other archery kills.

I like to use a crossbow when we release the walker hounds.
