All of those titles are common, I don’t see an issue. The on field staff budget was set at 7.5m so I’m sure some of it is for higher pay as you indicated.
I see a lot of people dragging Napier but there’s no issues with offering his players from ULL to come to LSU.

It’s all just titled to justify pay. Every school does it.
It’s like being a high school assistant football coach and math teacher and baseball coach and whatever. All the separate titles come with more money.

I don’t think this is really the case anymore. If you want to let your DL coach 900k go for it. I think the titles are more for the coaches own self prestige.
Though they kind of lose what little meaning they had when little Billy gives one to everyone

Is it really overpaying though? If they’re going to hand out extra titles to help outbid the competition, then who cares. Good friend is an AHC on his staff.

I don’t understand the need of some of our fans to obsess over Napier. If I’m being completely honest, I hope all of his hires are trash but that’s just because we’re rivals not because some weird infatuation with a coach we didn’t even really consider for the job.
