Nice strawman. No one is claiming that.

However, the transfer portal has changed the math.

A lot of those players in the 65-85 range were developmental players that may not play for several years. So you have 20+ players absorbing roster spots that won't play.

In the portal era, those players may not stick around or will be surpassed by transfers.

I certainly don't have the answers, but I think we will see coaches manage rosters completely different going forward.

I’ve definitely seen at least a couple of people claim exactly that. Not a lot, but they exist.

So I don’t expect you to go thru every thread, seeing if I am correct. I should have placed this link in op. But I could see those guys getting get upset they I’m calling them out. I’m not, though.

So no. Since you called me out on strawMan argument, I have to provide a link to tell you otherwise.

Straw men

And here

So now don’t act like it has not been said.

However in the same thread I have to agree w ith you on this…..

This is the most important part of 85. Just look at Alabama and Uga oline.

While some schools are playing three upperclassman on offense of line and two others sophomores or juniors are starting with them, some schools will have to start a freshman right away ( it doesn’t work that way. We were hoping that Dumerville would be able to come in and play right away. )

Not at Alabama and Georgia. They have five stars waiting to play behind five stars. These five star backups are getting physically & mentally prepared to play when called on due to injury or graduation.

Roster management will be a key thing, ven moreso than before. Player buy in, which I guess could be considered part of roster management, will significantly factor in as well.

COnsidering where BK came from, I would say he will probably be better at this than many.
