Anybody else try Benadryl and Milk? My success story.

I went to the doctor Tuesday morning for a regular check up. By Tuesday evening I had a sore throat, fever of 101, headache and runny nose. I remember seeing something posted here about the combination of Benadryl and Milk, so I looked it up and I started taking it. I took two Benadryl tablets and a glass of milk every four hours and all symptoms were gone by Wednesday night. This is not a scientific study, but just thought I would post what happened and see if anyone else has tried this?

A pair of over-the-counter compounds has been found in preliminary tests to inhibit the virus that causes COVID-19, University of Florida Health researchers have found.
The combination includes diphenhydramine, an antihistamine used for allergy symptoms. When paired with lactoferrin, a protein found in cow and human milk, the compounds were found to hinder the SARS-CoV-2 virus during tests in monkey cells and human lung cells.

I'm allergic to Benadryl, I guess I'm out on this one.

Milk makes me gassy.
But I’m glad you are feeling better!

Yeah I got some chewable Colostrum tablets and benadryl. My family all had it and after 36 hours we were feeling completely better. Don't know if that's the length of Omicron or the meds helped.

What type of milk? HHTM and Banana Hammy want to know if soy milk counts.

After watching the games the past two seasons, I thought about getting back out there.

Message board extremist suggests drinking mothers milk meant for baby cows.
There's no scientific evidence that drinking bodily fluids of a cow have any benefit to your health.
Milk will kill you. It will literally kill you.

Hives, swelling in the throat, etc. It has been many years since I have taken it, obviously.
Last time I spoke with a Dr. about it they seemed to think the allergy was likely to a particular dye or other additive that is in Benadryl. Better to just avoid it than find out, IMO. I have a prescription antihistamine at the house just in case I need to take it.
Interesting part is that other than seasonal sinus issues, I have no other allergies.
