built during the tennis boom of the 70s-80s? I remember is was high end and some pros spent their training months there.

Why is tennis so ‘out of style’ now ? When i was a little kid there were some cool cats like McEnroe and Agassi playing, and even now, i like playing tennis more than more popular sports like golf - singles tennis I mean, not sure why doubles tennis even exists.. but singles tennis is a great workout, and very social and fun.. i was watching an episode of the old Magnum PI recently and there was an entire episode devoted to him playing tennis- if it’s cool enough for Magnum, it should still be cool ! Personally i just think we need another great American male player to come along, like the ones I mentioned above, sort of a Tiger Woods of tennis, and it could boom again .

Tennis is out of style because athletic kids play one sport year round. Growing up I played tennis most days in the summer. There was no travel baseball or 7 on 7 football.

Singles is definitely more of a workout, but doubles is more fun and social.

My friends that used to play tennis prefer pickle ball now. It seems to be the new big thing.
