Black rock owns stocks in that list of companies just as anyone who owns shares i a mutual fund.
The total amount of market cap on that sheet makes BR look like a fly speck.
Thats not to say they are not bad actors but the truth is what it is.

Black rock and vanguard own a majority of companies shares.

Vanguard is right there too

Vanguard's corporate structure is vastly different from Blackrock's. The people who invest in Vanguard own Vanguard.

Owned by Blackrock?
I find this hard to believe. Do they own a shite ton of stock in those companies? Maybe.

They problem is that they are bad actors, very bad actors. They are very activists share holders. They may not own a majority stake in the companies but they own enough to have a lot of influence. Engine No.1 would not have been successful against Exxon without Blackrocks backing. They weld a lot of power and that power is derived from those that buy their funds. Several years ago I divested all of my Blackrock funds and etfs (ishare) after they announced they would use their voting power to fight for more gun control.

They dont "own" those companies nor the shares in them, no more than your local bank "owns" your money.
They manage a stock portfolio, probably the same IRA or pension you have invested with the company you work for, thats what that thick letter about your pension is each year, it tells you who is investing your money.
As a sidenote, your company sends you that letter because they are legally bound to have your pending retirement accrued as you earn it, unlike most local, state, and federal govt (ie social security) that "promise to give you back your money at some point".

They own the shares using fund/etf owners money and they vote as they please. As a shareholder of blackrock funds you can sell your shares, like pulling your money out of the bank, but until then, they are using this power you give them to push a leftist agenda. The CEO of a company whose largest shareholder is blackrock is taking Larry Finks call.

Fink. What an appropriate name.

You forgot the thumb tacks and yarn to connect them all.

My wife and I own all major Pharma and most major media companies. We also own most large government contractors. Does that make us evil conspirators? If so, anyone with a 401K that owns mutual funds is right there with us…and Blackrock.

It really is eye opening when you discover capitalism and communism were both created by the same people. They are both intended to enslave the many into serving a few. Same coin, just different sides.
