That’s the inspector’s job. Especially if you stated “as is” and they signed off after the inspection was done. I think you will be okay but I would definitely have an attorney on your side

Wrong. An inspector can’t or won’t be held liable for things unseen. Ex if there are boxes in the attic they aren’t moving the boxes to inspect what’s under or around the boxes.
