Burrow, Jefferson, Chase, Landry, Beckham, CEH…LSU is going to be in the NFL record books for a long time.

More evidence that the star system sucks...Gage got the very last offer because LSU simply had run out of people it wanted....Jefferson was a 3 star, and a last (or very late) offer of a scholarship.

It does not suck. They miss on some guys, of course, but they are right way more often then they are wrong. The wrongs just get the headlines.
I am willing to bet money that If you broke down NFL rosters there are way more 4 and 5 star guys than 3 and below guys.

Of those 9 players 3- 3 Star (33.33%), 4-4 star (44.44%), 2 5-star (22.22%)
2019 signing class - 3 5-star (12%), 11 4-star (44%), 10 3-star(40%), 1 2-star(4%)
Looks like, based on the star ratings for this group compared to the 2019 class (which was heavier than typical for LSU on 4 & 5 stars as I recall), the 3 stars really underperformed as a group.
I think the evidence contradicts your conclusion.

Dude how did you forget Fournette? Before his injury, he was on pace to have his 3rd 1000 yard season and highest yards per carry average.

Chase was a 5 star on some sites and Jefferson would’ve been higher if not for questions about him qualifying and the fact that he was a virtual lock to LSU due to family ties.
