I understand this, because when I was younger (16-20) I felt the same way. I was insecure and the truth was I was terrified that nobody else would like me if my S/O was given even the slightest chance to be close to someone else. So if these two are fresh out of HS, I get it. I don't commend it, but I understand the mindset.

What I don't get it is when people 25+ act this way. Your brain should be developed. Developed enough to understand that your significant other cheating is a reflection of them, not you. Or at the very least developed enough to realize that you have some issues and you need to get therapy.

At the end of the day, the threat of infidelity shouldn't scare so many people. Either you trust your s/o or you don't. And if they want to be with someone else, you're likely better off?
