Don't act like you only asked one question..one I have answered multiple times.
But again, my answer is, it's largely insignificant. If it makes her happy, we can afford it or it's paid for by insurance, I don't give AF.
It's THIS question that you don't like the responses to
"Am I wrong for putting my foot down about this?"
And the answer to that is YES. Yes on so many levels.

Hold up hold up hold up.....you mean to tell me if I came out and said one of the main reasons I put my foot down is because we cannot afford it...that would sit right with you? You would be like ah okay, no big deal?

Yes, so much yes, you are wrong. Neither my husband nor I ever used the sentence, "I'm putting my foot down about ______," in regards to something the other person wanted to do. If that's how your marriage works, then you are a very controlling husband. She can listen to your opinion, but you don't get to "let" her do stuff or "put your foot down."
