he never said that, but the school might have to give it a nudge to get it going and organized. Seems Woodward, TAF, and boosters were caught off guard by this and are now playing catch up. Of course the money has to be funneled through NIL so called deals. SEems like a charity or foundation of some sort, in the way Texas set it up, would be a good way to get it going.

Louisiana’s NIL law specifically prohibits what you are talking about, both for the school directly setting anything up, as well as anyone who the NCAA defines as a booster. State NIL laws vary, so some teams don’t have such specific restrictions right now.

I’m sure LSU’s athletic dept and boosters can find loopholes, but they have more of an uphill battle than some other programs. Woody and the boosters with political pull really need to push the state legislature to relax the law and put LSU on a more level playing field.

Doubtful. LSU’s big recruits have been getting paid for years just like other big SEC recruits.
