Landon Ibieta is the sleeper of the class.

I stumbled across this interview of Jimmie Smith (coach of his 7v7 team the bootleggers) with Miami guys. This interview is old but Jimmie gives his breakdown of Ibieta. This kid stood out against the best in Louisiana this year.
It's a shame that O and Mickey Joseph didn't offer him but we are fortunate that Brian Kelly offered him. This guy will be great for aligning the culture of what Brian Kelly wants.

Maybe a sleeper outside LSU circles and for recruiting services.
Inside the LSU sphere he is anything but a sleeper- his great talent is well known. And every post I've seen about him just raves about him here too.
And not the faux "pump up" stuff either. Legit rave reviews.

Ibieta will excel here. The other “sleeper” is Laterrance Welch in my opinion. Think the kid will play like a 5 star.

I don't think most people in LSU circles even realize how good he is. 6' 190 pounds, 38" vert, and 10.4 100m. Led Bootleggers in catches, yards, and TDs. He was their offensive MVP. Shazz Preston, AJ Johnson, Da'Coldest Crawford, and Omarion Miller are all WRs on that team. He's an elite athlete, hard worker, route tactician, and has great hands. Can line up on outside or slot. He should be a high 4* or 5*. Kid will play for a long time if he stays healthy.

If we hold the rest of the group together, then one more through NSD or the portal would be ok. Bech is really more of a WR then a TE.
We definitely need 1 or 2 more legitimate TEs.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons Cory got fired he was the recruiting coordinator, having offers for kids that was imore than 50% chance there wasn’t coming here than to guys who just waiting on the offer to come here And isn’t that much difference in talent

I've said on here a long time ago that I truly believe Welch will be one of the best DBs in the country by time he's done at LSU. He's a dog.. he has that swagger, that I'll show you I'm better and tell you about it too, attitude. Which is needed and has been missed in this secondary.

Agree with you that Welch is a dog. Just hope he’s knees hold up (pretty sure he has torn the ACL in both of his knees).

I heard he was going else where 100% and I woke up this morning and see he signed with LSU!!!!
