Trev Faulk says you want kids that want to be at LSU

100 percent agree. In this day and age, they will just pack their shite and leave otherwise when things get tough.

That’s because O got away from “building a fence around Louisiana” in recruiting and focused more on star chasing and recruiting rankings. Get kids that want to wear this uniform more than anything and the rest will take care of itself

I need you to post this on the recruiting board

Dude stfu, that guy was recruiting before “stars” was important. Everyone knows Louisiana has talent and he tried to keep all of the players he could in-state

We have a kid at Ponchatoula that just won metro player of the year. Blood and guts. He is what you build a program on.

Matthews or the running back?
Edit: I looked it up and it is the running back Johnson you are talking about.
Sorry but he isn’t quick enough to play running back or linebacker in the SEC. He has a PWO offer

Running back. Some people claim that he is the best player on the team. Some are saying that he is also the fastest.

He may be fast but he isn’t quick enough. Very little lateral mobility

Kelly needs to hire Trev in some capacity.

No. He is correct. Orgeron started chasing the Arik Gilberts, Eli Ricks, Deon Smith, Max Johnson (and Dad), and others for just star rankings. Where are any of these guys? A couple are going to play for Rival SEC Teams and one needs mental help.
All were wasted scholarships and there are more. LSU needs to take Louisiana and Texas kids first. Those are the kids who built LSU.

Are any of the teams in the playoffs this year or last year only recruiting locally? No, they all recruit nationally. The best teams recruit nationally.

If Trev was offered 500k to play at another school he would have gone
Posted on 12/16/21 at 5:42 am to tigerskin
That's absolutely correct and the program has been long overdue for a culture change (since Saban left). BK is doing that now. Some will disagree, but those who agree are your foundation.

not a surprise that so many laffy recruits pick LSU with men like this coaching HS/ 7on7
now the nola bootleggers, with ryan clark as HC, pump out bama players.
coincidence?

True, but I don’t think Trev Faulk is the right person to be delivering that message. He bolted from LSU after 3 years, when it was obvious he wasn’t ready for the NFL.

Trev undoubtedly loves the tigers, and is a benefit to our program wherever he is. That being said, it's great to have a guy like that keeping Lafayette locked down, especially with all the talent that LCA "acquires"
