I think it would be more of a people want him gone anyway so if his sons aren’t coming here then what’s the point of him still being at LSU. I don’t know enough about Verge to comment on that but that’s the vibe I get.

Oh I agree. But I think the reason that some fans are okay with him still being employed is that he has 2 sons that are very good football players. If they go elsewhere then the fans will want him gone even more than they already do.

I guess I don’t really get why he’s such a target for people wanting heads to roll. Many of the people involved with the situation handled it worse than him and are already gone. shite, the women’s tennis coaches handled it more poorly than anyone else, but people don’t ask why they still have a job.
And none of that has anything to do with the kid’s recruitment.
I guess in general I think a lot of our fans are pretty stupid overall and this situation seems to be like a flame to the retard moths around here.

He wasn’t explaining logic, he was explaining the irrational, emotional thought process of some of the morons around here.
Verge’s employment predates his kids being born, he brings a ton of value to the athletic department. Some people around here act like we hired him because of his sons.

Ausberry fell on the sword for LSU , and I imagine if there are any hard feelings they are from him ,not from the athletic department. He might just be kinda evening the playing field , so to speak.
