CBK has stated for sure that he will take a QB from portal and Dillion Gabriel is the name he mentioned and one he(Scike) wouldn't mention. Also, he says CBK is going heavy transfer portal. Nothing really new here but people who freak over recruiting have to realize that the transfer portal completely changes everything!

I think transfer portal will be good to us. Mel Tucker got 15 players last cycle.

There is no recruiting anymore. You can get players from anywhere anytime. Saban will retire soon, he knows it. It maybe smart to let others go identify the players and get the ones who are not starters immediately through the transfer portal if you have immediate need.

When you are in an immediate rebuild the transfer portal will get you players that participate immediately. The HS kids for the most part need a couple yrs of development. Hence the portal can yield quicker results.
