On top of that, if Nussmeier has to spend 5 years in college, he will have long been passed up at LSU

While I agree. I don’t think you burn it for a meaningless game. If you want to develop him, let him take the first team reps.

In ncaa I hated when you would redshirt your little 3 star quarterback with a 81 in speed and cheeky arm strength only for the mf to transfer after the season.

I don't know if he's saving it for 2022, but I imagine the RS is important for this reason, so he'll have 4 years starting in 2022 if he does have to transfer
