1. To actually win football games.
2. He brought back the magic defeating Bama and then #1 Florida.

He made some mistakes though
1. QB controversies Herb Tyler and Josh Booty
2. He lost the locker room over Booty
3. Lou Tepper was a disaster.

Basically, he was a good coach just not the great one.

Mark Emert told String Music to go get the best coach in America. I’m even sure that Dean didn’t pick him Emert did.

My cousin was on the BOS when they hired Hallman and he thought it was a home run hire. Then they fired Hallman to get Dinardo. At that time it was LSU’s m.o. (hire an up and comer). Dinardo laid the foundation and Saban built the empire. Dinardo just wasn’t an ex’s and o’s.
