I don't think most people can truly appreciate the difference between P5 schools and the rest of the country. There is a ginourmous delta between P5 and non P5 schools in talent.
Schemes that work at UL will not work against P5 defenses. Throwing windows get tighter, time in the pocket gets shorter, pass rush gets faster, and running lanes get smaller. The game is played differently as the P5 level.
It is not apples to apples going from UL to UF.

Something that does distinguish him, however is that he has high level experience as an assistant. The biggest school Fuente ever worked for was TCU (?). Norvell was Arizona State. Napier having worked at places like Bama and Clemson, he's not unfamiliar with the expectations and requirements to be successful at this level.
