I sort of get what you are saying. There is hierarchy in the SEC and Bama is clearly on top. And LSU was generally second until 2020.
If Bama wins that doesn’t change and with BK, LSU is primed to be #1 on a few years when Nick retires.
UGA winning changes that. Granted it probably doesn’t remain that much in the long run. But I get where the OP is coming from.
Personally, I don’t really care that much who wins. Once LSUs season is done I rapidly lose interest. That said it would be hilarious for UGAs best team ever to shite the bed once again.
