For you younger fans, this is what life before Brees looked like.

I'd say you have to go back to the Ditka years to see offense this bad. Aaron Brooks likely would have won us a game or two in the past month.

And to think both Loomis and Payton saw this slow ball coming for years with Brees and didn’t do a damn thing. Biggest failure of the saints organization in over 20 years.

They are the closest we’ve seen to the Aints in a long time. Maybe they ought to wear 1980 throwback uniforms.

Good luck expecting Payton to find one. He thought Hill could be the quarterback of the future and let him chase a dream that should have been snuffed out in preseason.

Hill is a gadget player. The whole world can see it except the genius, Sean Payton.

Brees propped up Payton for 15 years. He’s not around any more to cover up Payton’s idiotic play calling, poor game management and poor roster construction. And, yes, Payton is to blame for the roster. Loomis is a cap guy whose job is to make the numbers work for Payton’s player choices.

And I’ll even put the injuries on Payton. Change the training staff, change your off-season strength and conditioning, change your training camp plan and change your practice plan. Absurd to have this many injuries each week. I wonder if he still blames the fans for not being loud enough on third down. GTFO.

When you tell the world you’re smarter than everyone else, you need to take the blame when the shite hits the fan.

QB isn’t the issue right now. Injuries are.

Winston, both OTs, Thomas, Kamara out and still technically in the playoff hunt.

Not that bad. Injuries have killed us. 20 years ago we played like this without the injuries.

I’m not sure what else you’d have them do. We had a former Heisman winner and NFL starter spend a year with Brees before taking the reigns. Payton (incorrectly) thought Taysom could start. We even drafted a QB last year, who I’d frankly like to see get some reps now. He’s probably not the answer but best to find out.

HoF QBs are not bountiful in the league, this happens to most teams that lose one. Even still, we were right in the hunt until Winston got hurt as did everyone else. Payton is only human and not infallible, but with a healthy team we looked pretty competitive to me

bullshite....I watched Kerry Collins, Jeff Blake, Aaron Brooks and Heath Shuler before Brees, and they all could move the ball better than what we have seen. Even at its worse, the Ditka / Haslett years NEVER had such an anemic offense.

Put Brees out there with this group and we would just see better placed balls dropped.
