it needs to go away. Programs are straight up BUYING top players from other programs. This is supposed to be amateur sports.

Yeah, look at A&M's current class.

NIL goes into effect and suddenly Jimbo is putting together a Kirby/Saban level class.

I understand. My son and my brother are Naval Academy grads. They do it "right". Another brother is a graduate of Notre Dame, and they do it more "right" than most other places.

However, the genie is out of the bottle. It's not moral for these coaches to get the amount of money they do, and the schools to get the huge amount of money they do, and the kids to not get anything over the table. NIL is the best of a whole lot of bad options going forward.

(And, that's ignoring the fact that college football has always been corrupt.)

Yes, the college football experience is changing. Can't stop it. We just have to figure out how to make it work for us.
