Wow gotta love when a coach is fired up even after a 15 point win. He knows what the issues are and will get them fixed for a run into the post season!

Very telling press conference. By letting them continue to play crappy offense without calling timeouts and adjustments I believe Coach was willing to take a loss to have them learn a lesson about the crappy offense being played. Coach was making a point. Now our defense and free throws and Eason saved the day but Coach rightfully said, "there was no saving the day".

Wade knows that with that kind of defensive effort, the game should have never been close...at any point...and LSU's sloppiness on offense kept LSU from pulling away more when Ohio literally couldn't make a shot for the first 10:00.
I see a bit of the 18-19 team in this one with the way the offense is going. Remember, that team turned the ball over a bunch to start. Naz wanted to be a perimeter guard (shooting threes and taking people off the dribble) rather than using his size in the post to score and get offensive rebounds. The team as a whole was taking and MISSING a lot of three pointers.
As the season went along that team somewhat abandoned the three and started attacking the rim and offensive glass with ferocity. That turned them into the SEC champs.
Thus far, this team is MUCH better defensively than that team. That is why LSU is not only staying in games, but blowing out teams, even though the offense hasn't been crisp. I wouldn't be shocked to see a very concerted effort vs. Georgia Tech to really feed Reid and Days in the post along with getting the ball to Eason up high and letting him attack. Just like at the start of most seasons Wade gives his players freedom on offense to prove they can play the way they want. But if it is not working, he will step in an change it up. I think you are going to see the 3 point attempts go down and the FT attempts go up.

Some of my favorite comments were the
"what do you mean -long blink-"
"did you hear me from the locker room?"
"we get 4 offensive rebounds because we dont give great effort on the glass but 2 WE DONT EVER MOVE THE BALL....they get 12 offensive rebounds, WE GET FOUR"
"NOBODY saved the day, we didnt play well, NOBODY saved the day"
"SEVENTEEN TURNOVERS...we dont value the ball. They shot 68 shots, we shot 49!"
"We're not winning this way, it's not sustainable"
"Too many distractions, its too loose....-smirks- I'll get it right"

He knows he has a good team that is capable of being better than the way they played last night. That’s why he can do things like be mad after a 15 point win.
