I need a new cooler and wanted to see if anyone has a recommendation. Do the Rtic’s leak around the zipper? That was the problem with my last cooler.

Check out ice mule cooler. No zipper, top folds down. Works really well.

The zipper on my Rtic separated from the bag in about two years.

Walmart bag
I bought this one on a trip to replace a rtic 30 can that the zipper broke. I left it unzipped last night with some kid pouches in it. I woke up and it still had ice surprisingly. I paid a little less than what it's listed for now.

I guess I don’t really have a budget but if I didn’t have to pay for yeti I don’t want to. I just want one that will last and won’t leak. I’m not very hard on them

Thanks, I’m going to get this brand!

Almost want to invent my own

Will it leak if it gets tipped sideways? I got an AO bag cooler and the only thing I don't like is if I have it on my shoulder and bend over my back is going to get wet.

Is this coolers for the outdoors, tailgating or travel on vacation?

It has a vacuum side drain for water

I use mine for road trips, beach, etc. The AO is pretty good for staying cool for the day but if I turn it upside down, it is leaking through the zipper.

There’s no cover over the zipper to stop leaking?

The Ozark brand from wal mart leaks if you tip it over. That’s why I’m getting a new one

Magellan from Academy Sports makes great products for another opinion

No. Basic bag cooler. It's very similar to the Ozark trail link that Success had.
ETA: I like the Engel you posted. $$$ but really nice looking.

I've put in a little bit of research via YouTube and reddit...the overall consensus for best value is the Cordova 16 can
The best overall for large size and features is the Engel HD-30 at $240

I think it will leak but i carry it by the handles or over my shoulders and never had a problem. It kept drink iced up from 7am until 6p in a pontoon boat on labor day. That's all I ask for.
I used an AO 36 can and filled it with mule deer meat, dry iced over night, and flew home with it from Montana. It was a block of meat when I got it home. Dry ice was removed before we got to the airport.

I bought a Yukon for about $60 from Bucee’s around 7-8 years ago and it’s still going strong. Don’t go Yeti. The damn zipper is too hard to open & close.
