They should have the Sergeant at Arms in the room, and the moment he does not answer a yes or no question with a yes or a no, grab his arse and throw him in the cell that's in the basement of the building until he changes his tune.

Garland didn't get to his position out of pure luck. He knows how to word answers and spin the narrative in his favor

Is it just me, or does Garland bear a slight resemblance to Hannibal Lector?

The Dems on the committee have no way of rebutting anything the Republicans are alleging. They have only 2 tricks in their bag - DT appointed Weiss and Jan. 6th. They literally use their entire 5 minutes praising the honor of Garland and then attacking Trump, Jim Jordan, and playing videos of Jan. 6th. They ask ZERO questions of Garland about the actual reason they are there. They don’t even think of questions that might rebut the allegations. Because they CAN’T. They are so transparent it’s laughable. And even if they did ask substantive questions, Aunt Clara would bumble his way through a non answer and/or say he will not answer certain questions.

I’ve always said he reminds me of Jerry Springer.

The GOP will look like clowns at best and idiots at worst. They perpetually over promise and under deliver in hearings. Garland and the Democrats will win this round as they always do because the GOP is stocked with unlikeable retards. In the end the American people don’t give a shite. They need to focus on stuff that matters instead of going after Biden on this stuff. Clown shows don’t help their image.

Some of us still feel like knowing whether or not the people charged with running our country are corrupt IS stuff that matters.

Then be prepared for Biden to be re-elected, the House to flip and the Senate to stay Dem. I’m more concerned with the border, inflation, the lousy education, loss of national sovereignty, crime, etc. If the GOP tries to prove Biden is a crook, how does that address the issues I pointed out?

You do understand that these people are capable of doing more than one thing, right?

If you’re willing to give corruption a pass, then none of the rest is really gonna matter. As proven by where we are today.

Republicans in the House, when have they ever shown that? This a loser, look at all the effort Gingrich and the GOP spent going after Clinton. As I recall that didn’t work out well. I think the GOP will get the same results. They are not going to expose a Watergate level scandal because the press will not go after Biden the way they went after Nixon.

As Nancy Pelosi always said, we can walk and chew gum as the same time as they were endlessly having hearings against the republicans.

Democrats have the press to help them.

That’s gonna be the case with any of the issues you claim to care more about.

Sounds like we should just give up on trying to fix Biden’s frick ups and go full steam into Hunter and Joe Biden corruption then. Unless the GOP can make a case that the American will be better off under Trump and A GOP Congress we are screwed. Do you think the average Smerican is more concerned with Biden’s corruption than what is costing them at the gas pump or grocery store?

Sounds like you’re making the case for just the opposite, that you think they should be given a pass.

I give the average American a little more credit than you. I think they can be concerned with both.

None of the issues you mention are going to improve unless we at least try to hold our leaders accountable. Otherwise, what’s their incentive to try to make things better when they know there’s no threat?

None of the issues I brought will improve with Biden in the White House, things will get worse if he is re-elected. At this point you either believe Biden is a corrupt POS or you don’t. No amount of revelations at a hearing is changing a Biden supporter ‘s mind. All the hearing accomplishes is confirmation. What happens if Biden has decided not to run and is replaced on the ticket? Biden’s corruption is moot at that point. Another possibility, is that it backfires on tge GOP and he re-elected because voters see him as a victim, a la Bill Clinton. I’m not arguing that Biden isn’t corrupt, I don’t think it’s a winning strategy to pursue it since the GOP has no way to prosecute him.
