Not only do they trust their own hoax machine, they get down right indignant when anyone dares to prefer a slightly less left leaning source such as Fox.

My wife has some liberal friends and I do as well. It’s almost comical that they parrot whatever is put out as the latest talking point. It doesn’t matter if it has anything to do with reality.
My wife recently went to lunch with one of her friends. Her friend said “I don’t know why they are going after Biden, they need to use that money to fix our roads and bridges”. This same person had absolutely no comment about the money wasted and continuing to be wasted by the failed investigations into Trump.
Her friend seems oblivious that she is just a NPC without any opinions of her own or the discernment to even understand that she’s doing it.

Notice how as time went on, and the news got even more biased and fake, Groomers started trusting the media even more.

I don't think it is trust as much as hopeful cheerleading.
The MSM is increasingly like a gate keeper without a fence. Cutting the cord has some positive influence on this.
