My hope is that he takes his garbage niece with him as he leaves DC.

Coward. Not a surprise at all. He was never going to let the people primary him. Too much hubris

Honestly, he probably just needed 6 years to get back in the grace of the establishment, after running against the Chosen One and having dinner with Trump.

He'll be back on a bunch of boards by Jan 3, 2024.

Exactly
Dude knew he wasn't getting re-elected
Wonder if Bill Cassidy will do the same.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) announced Wednesday he will retire from the Senate at the end of his term, dealing moderate Republicans and those opposed to former President Trump a major blow.

Romney said in a statement that it’s time for a new crop of political leaders to step in.

“I have spent my last 25 years in public service of one kind or another. At the end of another term, I’d be in my mid-eighties,” Romney said in a press release. “Frankly, it’s time for a new generation of leaders. They’re the ones that need to make the decisions that will shape the world they will be living in.”

Looks like time for Evan McMullin to lose another election

I wonder if the Governor is going to run for the seat.

Let's hope Bill Cassidy follows suit. I wonder if Mittens is planning another presidential run.

And how many of us on here voted for that milk toast, Brigham Young loving, Massachusetts Yankee?!

I did and it makes me angry to know it’s all been a joke for a long time.

Oh he’s not leaving DC. He just won’t be there as an elected official anymore.

All part of the Uniparty con. Just like 2008 when NoName was trotted out as the opponent of Black*ish Jesus.

I never thought he would run for another term. He carpetbagged Utah to get elected and he served his purpose for the establishment. And the people of Utah see it.

It’s kind of like Cassidy here. He won’t stand for reelection in ‘26.
