Why Ron DeSantis’ 'silence' on Ukrainian president’s speech speaks volumes

Yes, it is a MSN/MSM hit piece on Ron DeSantis. But the main theme seems to be that a Never Trumper is mad Ron is not applauding Zelensky's speech in DC.
Or why is DeSantis not speaking out one way or another-- on Zelensky, funding to Zelensky, whom he once called a modern Churchill?
Christina Pushaw resigned from DeSantis' Governor Staff to become The director of rapid response for the DeSantis Governor reelection campaign.
Why hasn't she rejoined the Governor's Staff now that the greatest Governor of Florida (He truly is the best) won re-election?
If she is on stand by for Ron 2024 POTUS, why isn't she as Ron's War Room not fully embracing Zelensky, and silent on Ukraine?

Like so many other Republicans in the MAGA movement, far-right Gov. Ron DeSantis often makes a point of drawing attention to political stunts that are carefully designed to fire up his base, whether he is sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, railing against Dr. Anthony Fauci or attacking Disney. DeSantis, his critics often complain, is a glaring example of performance over policy.
One of those critics is Jonathan V. Last, a Never Trump conservative and a columnist for the conservative website The Bulwark. , In his scathing December 22 column Last argues that DeSantis’ response — or lack thereof — to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s December 21 visit to the United States speaks volumes about the Florida governor’s priorities and underscores his lack of substance.
Why 'opportunist' Ron DeSantis’ 'silence' on Ukrainian president’s speech speaks volumes: conservative

What did Trump say? or was he playing with his cards?
Posted on 12/27/22 at 10:51 am to cajunangelle
It has nothing to do with his governance of the State of Florida, and he is not currently a Presidential Candidate, so he really shouldn't have anything to say on it.

Its almost like DeSantis is smart and has watched Trump run on at the mouth for 6 years.

Tax dollars from his constituents are being shoveled into Ukraine.

That they should come to terms already and that this would never have happened under him
Why arent you on the front lines with your brothers?
Also Pushaw is one fugly chick. She needs to layoff the botox/lip fillers

DeSantis has to ride the fence on this issue. The fence that separates MAGA and the Uniparty. He needs both to win.
MAGA is anti war and pro America. The Uniparty is pro war and anit America.

I agree, he should have trashed it.

Trump said there would have been no Russian Ukraine invasion. And he is right. He would have never goaded Putin to invade Ukraine by threatening him with Ukraine to join NATO.
Would you like it if Putin put Russian military bases in Matamoros?

Is GumboPot on vacation and you and stout are covering the DeSantis shitposting while he is out?
DeSantis is Governor of Florida and not responsible for foreign policy and there is no upside wading into the shitshow that is Ukraine.

I'm on vacation but checking in every once and awhile.
This is an interesting post however. DeSantis is getting attacked from DC monied interest here. They are mad he is not outwardly falling in line with Uniparty support for Ukraine spending. He's not receiving fire from MAGA on this issue.

So you see this as a "Ron is not kowtowing to the establishment" development?

Federally. He cannot do a thing about it.

yes. that's a reasonable and traditional position and it avoids giving either pro or con sides and media some ax to grind.

It is indeed foreign policy. It became domestic policy when prime time television in the USA cut in most TV stations: Showing Zelensky getting LIVE accolades reserved for Presidents and maybe the Pope or Churchill by our reps.
It is a fair question to Ron DeSantis as long as he is silent on him not running for President. His passive aggressive 2024 POTUS stance is obvious.
Does Ron DeSantis still think Zelensky is a modern Churchill?
Are you Christina Pushaw's stand in when she is in Ukraine partying with Zelensky?

Like I said in the previous post, DeSantis has to ride the fence on this issue. He needs the money from one side and the votes from the other. It's not good or bad, it just DeSantis' pollical reality.

Was DeSantis's team infiltrated? Very out there but interesting...

Maybe because he is the governor of FL and hasn't announced that he is running for president?
