The other thread ended up mostly being about GA, so post your thoughts on AL here ... including down ballot, which has not been talked about much in the press.

Hard to believe some pundits think that Ivey could win without a runoff. That would indicate that there are either there are fewer real conservatives in Al, or Alabama voters are REALLY stupid.

Hard to believe the AG ran unopposed. He was a DEM who switched over so he could win an election. ... I take that back ... there is an opponent that nobody has talked about. It was the Lt Gov with no opposition. He needed some ... many think he will be the next Gov, but he would not be the best choice... that would be Mayor Battle of Huntsville.

Lew Burdette for governor. I'm sick of the negative TV ads by the big 3, especially Tim James.

Katie for Senate. Mo, as much as I respect his conservative ways, is too much of a grandstander and hasn't really accomplished much in his years in the House.
Durant is an outsider who hasn't voted in an Alabama election but twice. He comes off as a snake in the grass to me. His newest TV ad today about Katie Britt was the final nail in the coffin!

Shameless plus for my former SGA president and optometrist for state Republican executive committee Shelby Co, place 1. Tim is a great guy and deserves the vote.

Governor - no idea, not Ivey, need to do homework. Probably voting for Lew in ‘22.

The one that really matters, Mo Brooks. Just do it. frick Mike durant and his military industrial complex connection and Britt is a swamp creature through and through. Seriously, look who is backing Britt and all the evidence points to a Shelby clone.

bamafan1953, I'm leaning toward Lew myself. But, Katie Britt is a BIG Swamper running fake ads. Actually, Mo has voted right in line with conservatives.

I don't think I trust Durant myself ... what was the ad?

You should read this that was forwarded to me today...

consider the timeline he has been elected.

idk why, but i am absolutely convinced Brooks is the way to go. i don't require Trump to do all of my thinking for me, of course. Katie put out TONS of negative ads btw against Mo. before i got permanently banned from twitter (b/c i'm conservative i guess?)... i remember tweeting Katie to be sure she knew i saw her negative ads and would't vote for her on principle for that reason. to hell with her.

Tells you who she thinks is her primary competitor, or at least did think that.

I'll look more into Burdette tonight, though.

none of that matters, genius. you dont understand how things work. if you're going to call others stupid, you should really know to use very instead of really.

Anybody other than Ivey or Anybody other than Britt isn't going to cut it in a multiple person primary.

Ivey and Mo are the only right answers.

Britt will probably bring more to Alabama in her first year than Brooks ever has.

I said what I meant and meant what I said ... Of course you failed to enlighten us with your brilliance. Know how what works DA? Very ... really ... if Alabama voters elect Kay Ivey without a runoff they are dumb as hell. Is that better?

So YOU are for BIG deficits and more national debt.

Katie Britt just signed a No New Tax Pledge yet she pushed through the AL Gas Tax just three years ago as a LOBBYIST with the Alabama version of the US Chamber of Commerce. She said she would introduce a Balanced Budget Amendment jsut like her former boss. Of course, the National Debt ran up over 20 TRILLION on his watch because he voted for the deficits. The Balanced Budget Amendment will NOT pass UNTIL the country is at the point of collapse ... it is a joke.

Marcus, thanks for the link. Interesting article, a lot of which I agree with. I'm solid with Lew and while leaning towards Britt, I may reconsider tonight and vote Mo.
Definitely not Durant.

Lew is my vote tomorrow.
But Ivey will be my vote in the runoff as it's unlikely he'll make it.

Britt all the way in Senate.

Yes on Amendment 1.

Dale Strong for Mo's seat.

Marshall for Attorney General

Cook for Supreme Court

Anyone but Ziegler for Secretary of State

Tim James may be loud but he speaks the damn truth. He’s got my vote.
