TCU is the current favorite but LSU is in contact.

Getting another Arky db would be too much fun to watch them melt. They would start feeling like our farm team

My best friend since 1st grade was his roommate at Arkansas. TCU is the favorite he wants to go back home to Texas but LSU is making a STRONG offer

Don’t want. Great player but he can’t stay on the field. We don’t need another Seven Banks.

Won’t be surprised if Nuss ends up there.

To be a backup somewhere else? Their starting QB from the beginning of the season who was injured will be back. Nuss isn’t walking in and beating him out.

If Nuss leaves, it will be to go somewhere there’s a clear opening to be the starter.

It’s weird to me that a kid would refuse to play to protect his redshirt year bc that’s what HE thinks is in HIS best interest and then turn right around and expect the head coach to simply give him the starting job without having to earn in an open competition during spring.

I choose not to think Nuss is that kind of kid but maybe I’m wrong. He certainly didn’t act that way all year but who knows

I’m not making value judgments. I’m simply saying that if Nuss leaves, it will be to start somewhere else. It wouldn’t make sense for him to go to another school where he wouldn’t have an advantage getting the job.

It would be super cool if our 5* safety would play like a 5* safety

No value judgments here either brother. Objective facts.

I don’t see it playing out that way bc as I said I think Nuss will at least compete. Hopefully he gives a good accounting of himself in the spring and reduces the careless throws. He’s got a bright future if he can do that

He doesn’t strike me as a kid who would shy away from competition.

It would be really cool if our 5 star safety actually played safety. Nickel CB and safety are not the same. He is playing out of place

Nothing weird about it. Kid has a helicopter dad telling him he's the next coming when in reality he couldn't beat out Daniels. Daniels brings so much vitriol from a segment of our base yet that same segment prefers a kid who couldn't beat him out instead. Par for the course around these parts.

That refusal to play the bowl leaving us with only an athlete to play QB will never be forgiven by me. Kids a quitter and loser. Hope he transfers and loses that job too.

Brad Davis said in an interview he made that decision for Garrett and kept him out of the game so he wouldn’t have to make that hard decision.

Coaches say those kinds of things to protect kids from getting criticized. Huge grain of salt.

Nuss passing on that bowl opportunity put a bad taste in my mouth too.

You can bet it was the kid/family’s decision and not the coaching staff’s decision.

I’m one of the few on here apparently that is excited about Daniels returning. LSU will have the best QB room in the country this spring battling it out.

Can’t ask for a better situation imo.

It’s not a hard decision when your team needs you!!
