Loki season 2 premieres tonight at 9pm EST
Season 2 Trailer
The first season was great, and it was good introduction for Kang. I’m excited to see how much he’s used in the second season. I can’t wait.

I haven’t watched much marvel content since the last Loki season ended. Are there any movies or shows I definitely need to watch or read synopsis of to not be lost?
I don’t want to be in a position with this show like so many were watching Ahsoka without having seen Rebels/Clone Wars.

Here’s hoping this season gets better

You probably need to watch all the Kang scenes of Antman Quantumania.
Also the 2 post credits

I would just think the Antman mid and post credit scenes. Don’t watch the actual movie though

Solid first episode. Reset the stage and get the story going again.

Man, I have no idea what’s going on. Seriously convoluted plot.
I’m good though. Happy to see Loki back.

Lol same. I think they might have stabilized the branches??
Really solid opening though. Glad that Loki will be on a timeline moving forward lol.
There’s also an end credit scene for those that didn’t stick around.

Great start to S2. Really enjoyed the cameo by Short Round. Tom Hiddleston's acting was outstanding. He projected fear and the sense of urgency exceptionally well.

Based on the promo materials, I believe OB is a regular cast member this season.

Right now, I believe that's the point. All hell is breaking loose at the TVA.

A nice mix of humor, tension, and drama. Which the cast did an excellent job of pulling off.
Put some funny stuff in there and when you do bring out a dramatic moment, like OB saying "he's not going to make it", it comes across as bigger and more important.
This not, mind you, a new concept in movie making. "The Searchers" is a notoriously bleak film but they put in some lighter moments in the movie so that there was a needed contrast to make the darker moments... well... more dark.

There's something about Hiddleston's delivery that just speaks to me - particularly his funny lines.
That said, I mentioned as S1 unfolded but it bears repeating here at the outset of this new one, the only issue I have is that it's difficult to reconcile the Loki of the Battle of New York (2012) going on this particular development arc. Ragnarok Loki (2017)? Absolutely.
That's my one gripe. I just don't think that Chitauri Invasion Loki would be of a mindset to take the TVA revelations of the first season as smoothly as he did. Hiddleston is definitely playing him like the more evolved Loki that made it all the way to the opening of Infinity War.
