I’m kind of pissed that Anthony Bourdain committed suicide

I stumbled on CNN’s app just to see what they had on there. Their service is now on the new “Max” app

Otherwise I would not have a clue what CNN offers.

I saw Anthony Bourdain’s shows on there and I was thrilled to see a ton of episodes.

I forgot how much I enjoyed his show. Yes, I know he was a left winger but he still had a great show about food and travel.

The first episode I decided to watch was S2E8 - Detroit

This dude was just great to watch him explore cities, eat their cuisine, learn their culture, etc.

I don’t really care if celebs kill themselves, but I’m pretty pissed that he did because I have always enjoyed his shows. He would have been very interesting to watch in today’s weird, fricked up world.

I remember how brutal it was to see his friends that were also chefs get emotional talking about his death.

I think I might slightly prefer No Reservations to Parts Unknown.

Oh shite, I didn’t realize his stuff was part of the Max update. Season 11 of parts unknown has an episode on Cajun Mardi Gras

Yeah, his shows were great. I recommend reading his books as well. Very entertaining reads.

Dude was incredibly watchable. That last clam in his life really did a number on him. Pussy remains undefeated, but it was particularly brutal in this instance.

Ummm...he didn't commit suicide. I find it strange he named dropped the Clinton's and now he is gone

Hmmm.. I always thought he did for some reason. I might have him confused with someone else then. My apologies Mr. Bourdain.

That's what mainstream media tells you and he may have well committed suicide but I don't think he did

I think Roadrunner is still on Max if you haven't seen it. It's a great documentary on his life and how he got into writing and then TV.

So did he overdose?

Of course I could google and research but I like keeping my thoughts here on TD plus I’m extremely lazy at the moment

What do you think happened? Please tell me your talking about drugs and not some other BS. From what I’ve read about the way he died, it’s not really an uncommon way that people commit suicide.

Couldn’t agree more. Damn shame. His shows really captured the vibe of wherever he was.

He’s the reason that more than half of my YouTube subscriptions are about food and travel. Thanks for letting us know it’s on Max. My son has recently gotten into shows like The Best Ever Food Review Show, he should love Anthony Bourdain.

Unfortunately you might be right. We are a boring group. Having said that, he was a normal liberal (which is very hard to find these days)

Another show I enjoy is the gay bald dude Andrew Zimmern
