His daughter, who had long been keen on family history, had been pleading with him to buy a DNA test and he had resisted, put off partly by the $99 price tag. Then one day he gave in.
When Lawrence's wife heard this she "looked like she'd got hit by a truck", Lawrence says.
She turned pale, he remembers, and "had this horrible expression on her face, like when somebody is caught stealing something".
That night she closed their bedroom door and confessed to a long affair with a man she had met at work. A paternity test, two months after their daughter was born, had confirmed her hunch - the little girl was not her husband's child. She had kept that secret for 15 years.

Women have completed the arc.
They have usurped men.
They have usurped men.

I’ve heard several stories about grandpa’s cheating ways and bastard children being exposed and actually thought those were kind of funny. Nothing funny about this one.

Women cheat more than men do. Females are some dirty, dirty people and they like the D way more than they let us believe.

Most of the stories in the article involve Mothers that are in their 70s, 80s, even 90s getting found out.

I know a guy who questioned the birth of his 2nd son because he was in jail when his wife became pregnant, a DNA test showed he was not the father.
He got so mad he tested his 12 yr old and found out he was not his father either

I wonder what the law says if your wife has another mans kid. I would divorce regardless

I know two people who found half siblings through this stuff that they had no idea they had. In both cases the mom had gotten pregnant very young and been sent off to have the baby and give it up for adoption. They later married and had families. The husbands knew but in my friend's cases they had never told their children.

Perfect!

My mom explicitly refuses to do one of these tests in fear that she’ll have half-brothers and sisters who speak German or Dutch showing up.

This is why ancestral genealogy studies are meaningless. DNA is the only reliable way to know where your ancestors are from.
