Relocating from Shreveport and need to make a decision by Monday and I'm torn

They are both cool. I'd probably go with Denver because skiing is cooler than a good music scene to me.

two totally different cities so it's hard to say.
do you want to stay close to Louisiana?
what are your interests/hobbies?
single or married?

If you're over 22: Denver.
Good city with good infrastructure and tons to offer. Is actually more pedestrian/bike friendly than Austin. The scenery and outdoors is just amazing. Great summers, too.

1/2 the population of Austin is making a quick trip to Denver this week.

Definitely a plus to be closer to everything I have ever known. Easier to make it in for weddings, football games, etc.

Colorado has more to offer on this front because I love snowboarding and hiking. Austin is still a major upgrade from Shreveport though

28 and single. Assuming Austin has better quality women but that assumption is based on women being hotter in the south

2) Austin
Seriously. Not. Even. Close.
Unless you HATE the cold (which Denver is sometimes - not much). The Austin would come up ahead of a few of the periods.

Move out West dude. There are hot bitches everywhere. But mountains are in short supply. You'll regret Austin later in life I think.

Austin
Denver
The thing Denver has going for it is that it's close to cool stuff....the city actually sucks.

The only real advantage I could think of is that Austin has no state income tax.

Whatever you do, disregard Draconian Sanctions when it comes to Austin. Guy has no idea what he is doing, total amateur hour.

I hear you. Everyone's different. Just remember, most people never get the chance to spread their wings and get far away from the nest. I don't think you should pass it up.
