Teens involved in viral hit-and-run murder now arrested and being tried as adults

New details from the viral video. The duo, Jesus Ayala, 18, and his passenger, Jzamir Keys, 16, stole a total of four cars that day and committed three hit-and-runs, which started the day with hitting a 72-years-old cyclist who survived, and then the killing of the retired officer followed by ditching the vehicle and stealing two more, which they wrecked into one another outside of a shopping mall.
This just goes to show how broken the system is. There is zero fear of any real consequences. Criminals now think the worst outcome is 30 days for simply running someone over.
ETA: It looks like the DA will not be playing around with this case. He believes they should remain in custody and thinks they are both a flight risk and a danger to the public.
