Legal question - dept of social sevices

I have a question regarding non-performance from DSS in SC (not sure if states are different).
My grandson (7 years old), his mom is my daughter, he is being abused by his step mom. Dad had called him a liar. He has verbally spoken about it and drawn illustrations for nurses, doctors, police and school appointed therapist. All the information has been relayed to DSS by the people listed above, 12 cases in 3 years and it continues to die at their office. We have confirmed, documented evidence, that cases have been closed without any investigation.
My question is who do we seek out to get some help. We have gone up the chain of DSS but they are no help at all.

But sounds like you need to tell the stepmom and dad if there is violence again it will be met with violence

I just recovered from cancer and if it would have gone a different way it would have been dealt with.

Bro, you DO NOT want legal advise from some of these posters who call themselves "lawyers". In the end they'll find you at fault

Man I’m so sorry to hear that. I don’t know how to help you but I’d be on a fricking revenge tour of biblical proportions if that were my child or grandchild.

We have, and it is are dropped because dss doesn't "find anything". It is frustrating and heartbreaking.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. If you have a legal question you need to hire an attorney not go to a message board. This is a child, your grandchild even. Come on man. As a matter of fact I find it hard to believe your story at all. Even if you are dealing with cancer, a normal dude would be handling it not posting about it.

That’s because lazy piece of shite government employees don’t want to actually do any work.

What a tough situation. Attorney general maybe?
For a TD response, give your grandson a GoPro and tell him to video the abusive step witch

I want to go after dss and expose it. Pie in the sky, " fix the system"

This right here... If it were true you'd want to protect your grandchild not worry about a state agency or "fixing the system"...

Tried, it is inadmissible.

You need an attorney bro to escalate this with social services.
What’s the custody agreement? What’s your daughter doing about all of this?

Physically abused? Can you call the police?
Posted on 3/9/23 at 12:28 pm to BHTiger
Start with contacting a law enforcement entity before contacting DSS. If that does not work, contact the prosecutor in the jurisdiction of the abuse

3 police reports and about 10 from nurses, drs. and school appointed therapist.
Physical for the most part and 1 for sexual assault.
DSS has it all and done nothing.

Should at least be able to get a temporary restraining order on the step mom. Dad should still be able to see kid. If dad wants kid to stay there “no step mom around”.
Be careful not to open a can of worms you don’t want opened. Either way if there is abuse he needs to be out of that environment.
You sure your daughter is not being bitter towards step mom. Do they have history(Nothing wrong if there is that is expected)? There are always two sides but this is pretty serious because of it involves a child (your grand child)
