Ain’t even in March yet. I got 7 hours of outside work in between yesterday and this morning and I’m done. It’s going to be a miserable summer.

IIRC it was miserably hot last year in April and the summer was slightly less than average.

We’ve seen this movie (1958):

I'm in with you. I'm seeing redbuds sprouting in February

June was unbearably hot last year.

How warm it is now has no bearing on the temperature of the Summer months. Even from one Summer month to another can see drastic swings in high temps. In 2007 the Huntsville, AL area had its 12th hottest June, followed by the 56th hottest July, followed by the hottest ever August. That Summer finished off with the 24th hottest September.

Mid 70’s to low 80’s is “too hot?” That’s pretty soft.

I was pushing 90 the other day here. I cleared limbs and worked on the fence a few hours and had the sore eyes, headache and every bone in my body tiredness that usually comes in the longest days of summer. I'm not in summer shape for this shite yet

Would you rather snow this morning? About 2" of fresh stuff overnight, I'm ready for 70s/80s golf weather

When we bought our first house it was the hottest summer in recent memory. I think that was 2006 or 2007. New construction and nobody's ac on our block could keep up. The AC company had crews in from Texas they had so much extra work.

I'd rather it be about 50 with a nice breeze if I'm going to be working outside. That's called winter here. Instead it's not even spring and it's already summer

The four months you cite in ‘07 cumulatively are the 77th hottest percentile for June-September.
So it’s getting warmer on average.
Who knew?

And if that was in SE LA, the prior February in both '06 and '07 was well below normal. By the OP's logic you should have had a pleasant Summer, whichever year it was.
