A buddy of mine and myself are planning to go to Minneapolis when the Saints play the Viking in mid November. I have never been there so I'm looking for things to do while we are there and any food recs. We are flying up on the Friday and back on Monday. TIA

Lots of churches and Mall of America. All were amazing.
Mall Of America - this blue thing was about 3 stories tall...pure Legos.

It's been years since I've been but the North Loop had a pretty cool vibe with restaurants and bars. Uptown near Lake Calhoun was really cool, pretty sure they changed the name of the lake but whatever.

I can’t imagine you’ll be going this far west around Lake Minnetonka during your trip, but this place has better bbq than any joint up there should have:

I was going back and forth about going to church while I was there or not. I’ll take this as a sign from the big man to go while I’m there. Beautiful churches. Do you mind telling me which ones these were?

Uptown has changed quite a bit since the riots - it really got hit hard. A lot no longer there, but there are still pockets of bars worth hitting. I always love going to Little Tijuana and Volstead's for cocktails.

OP, would recommend using search function on F&D and Travel boards. I'm counting six threads since spring, so you should be able to find some good information.

It's a fun town, with great people and a great music scene.
Try to see a show at First Ave...hit Paisley Park...wander around down around the river.
For some reason, it didn't occur to me that a bunch of the local ladies would be tall Scandanavian types, but they are for sure.
