Varland (righty) has 11 career starts over the last two seasons with a 4.05 ERA. Only Abreu has faced him, and just for 2 ABs. (O/2 of course)

Brown faced the Twins in his second start of 2023 and got the W with 7 innings and one unearned run.

I don't see a path to victory.

The misses were so aggregious, you'll never convince me they weren't intentional after the first one.

That umpire last night was Dusty Baker of umpires. Complete shite.

The 1st pitch to Bregman after the Pena stuff was a bait call. No doubt. He was trying to draw out another reaction.

So much credit! Because there is not a player out there that knows the strike zone better.

An automated sttike zone is going to be very good for Bregs in the near future.

Dewey Cox needs to do less walking and more hitting the ball hard if he wants another contract like the last one.

Pitcher to keep an eye on down in Corpus

quote:

Spencer Arrighetti in the month of May: 0.67 ERA | 27.0 IP | 12 H | 2 ER | 37 K

He also held opponents to just a .136 BAA during his five outings this month

Sounds like we're going to a six man rotation for a stretch. The only option is Ronel Blanco. He's got a .56 ERA since his demotion to AAA but he's walked 13 in 16 innings.
