Baton Rouge hockey: Game Two 12/15! 3 games to bring back Kingfish - tickets $10 each.

If these games do well they’ll bring the Kingfish back. Anyone else bought tickets? Looks like a fair bit have been sold already though plenty still available. Still 4 months away.

i miss the days of the icegators in laffy. kingfish in red stick and the brass in NOLA. good old ECHL good times. icegators lasted in the ECHL from 95 to 05.

If the Kingfish come back I’m sure they’ll look to add one or two more teams in the area for travel cost purposes.
Looks like they’ve sold about 2,000 tickets per game so far. I don’t think they need to sell the place out but probably need to get into the 4-5 thousand range for all 3 games.

They did this in Biloxi last year and we have a team this year

Already got my tickets on the glass for 2/3 games, and 1 game in the uppers (where I prefer to watch hockey live).
With the Avalanche winning the Cup this year and BR hosting some hockey, my 4 year old is obsessed with the game.
Would be nice to have a rink here too for youth stuff instead of having to go to Laffy.

I bet those games will be packed. Not sure how well they'd do long term but I know plenty of baws who will pack the place out for 3 games

The whole tryout for a fan kind of pushed me away. No thanks, loved going to Brass games.

It’s annoying but I have such good memories as a child in the Centroplex, whether it was the Kingfish, the WWF, Monster truck rallies, or whatever. I just want to support it and have a reason to go in that building again.
It would also be good for the city to have an anchor tenant downtown.

I checked Ticketmaster again and compared to last week it seems they’ve started selling a few in the upper corners and behind the goalies. Still a long way to go, I figure they will probably need to at least double what’s they’ve sold already but if they keep a steady trickle for the next few months and a big push at the end it could happen

LSU should add hockey ala Arizona State. That would draw well a few k a game and more than this.

I don’t think that’s so bad considering there’s no home team playing
Would be expensive for LSU as there’s nobody nearby to play so you’d have a lot of long road trips plus they’d also have to add women’s hockey for title IX.
