Please keep this in mind before we kickoff the season

And before y'all start trashing players, coaches, and their mommas. Last year was an anomaly. It may be 10, 20, 30 years before any team tops that, if ever.
Myles Brennan is not Joe Burrow. Our offense, almost certainly, won't be as good as last year.
The other team will gain yards. They'll get first downs. They'll probably score points. This doesn't mean Pelini deserves his soul to be torched. Myles might throw INTs, get sacked. We may go 3-and-out on several occasions. All of this is football and it doesn't mean your team is on the decline.
We should expect a good team this year, but not another "greatest ever".

This is correct but it won’t stop the meltdowns.
This board had full blown fire everyone melt downs every single game last year in the first half.
They did that for the GOAT ever in history. They’ll do that today as well.

You think that a season that is widely believed to be the third best ever, by non-LSU fans - can ever be topped? Look, it was a great season. That LSU team showed in a resounding fashion that it was the best team in the nation. That’s it. That’s all there can ever be. Just as the 2020 champion can’t lay claim to being better than 2019 LSU, so that LSU team can’t lay claim to being better than any other year’s champion.

On the contrary, if this team's defense is as good as Coach O says it is, then this team could be just as good as last year, but with different characteristics. Great defense, good offense, instead of a great offense, good defense.
