Alleva deseves credit (even if it was his third hire and first two failed), but as said above if he keeps holding back and WW leaves..big problem..

Still basically a wash on basketball. You do realize he hired Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones....JJ honestly I don’t fault him for , that was going to happen eventually to satisfy Dale, Alleva should have actually hired JJ, when he hired Johnson and just got it over with. Trent Johnson was absolutely awful in every aspect, no idea how he conned TCU into hiring him after Lsu

Alleva is certainly a moron but I've talked to Mr. Nunez. He is no intellectual marvel himself. I think we may have just got lucky with Will Wade.

That's idiotic. Nunez couldn't hire anyone and no authority to negotiate terms. That's just the narrative a lot of folks have perpetuated. It's stupid to think Alleva didn't have a role in bringing Wade to LSU.
As for Wade leaving, it won't be because of money or LSU being cheap. It would occur because a true Basketball blue blood would seek him out and make an him an offer he couldn't refuse or perhaps his alma mater.

To be fair, he gets credit for actually listening to Nunez. He's literally said "I am the Search" once, so props for wisely delegating.
