Ohio St players are paying tribute to LSU's QB Joe Burrow on Twitter along with many Ohio St fans, he's popular enough that some of those same fans want to make a trip to see Burrow play in Tiger Stadium. Bet that'll be a wild experience for many who do!

Burrow could gain even more notoriety if he succeeds well at LSU. Hard to recall another LSU QB who garnered this much of a fan base while still in college.

The comparisons to Tom Brady by some Ohio St. fans and a player may not be all that far fetched, if Burrow leads LSU to impressive victories over top ranked teams that litter LSU's schedule, one would then expect Joe's number of fans to soar if he succeeds. Ohio has a big population, and LA. fans have a big heart. All will be screaming Go Joe!

You know if this guy was Tom Brady, he’d be starting for Ohio State right?

I like your confidence, but pump the brakes a little there son. I hope and pray for a good season so we can get back to being the fan base we need to be and support our players and coaches till the end.

I think they're making the comparison because Tom Brady was always sort of underappreciated at Michigan. He was always having to prove himself good enough to be the starter. He didn't play much until his last two years and even then he was fighting off Drew Henson for playing time until mid way through his senior year and Lloyd Carr finally decided to roll with Brady the rest of the way. I guess they feel Burrow was overlooked at Ohio State and probably more worthy to be the starter than the other guys up there. That's my guess

That's amazing. I have never heard of a team and their fanbase becoming a fan of another team because of one transfer.

Hell I was talking to a buddy (Bama fan) last night whose daughter graduated from OSU. They are going to the OSU vs TCU game the 2nd week. He mentioned that my niece who I always mess with is now finally an LSU fan because of Jeaux.

He can do whatever he feels. You keep your feet firmly slamming the pedal to the firewall if you want. It's your prerogative just like it is his. Preaching at him won't make him change his opinion.

also, there's simply a certain style that QBs have. you wouldn't say Brady is similiar to Brees or Ben or Mariota or a number of others. maybe the comparison here is that Joe isn't the greatest athlete in the world (by all accounts he doesn't have the pure arm that Myles does) but makes up for that by understanding everything around him, by being smart.

Brady rode the bench his first two years and almost transferred to Cal. His final season he split time with Henson

Don't pretend to be this ignorant. LSU's QB is turning out to be a great recruiter of fans for the LSU Tigers. Ohio is so populated that if LSU's 2018 season becomes very memorable, you may see more Tiger fans in Ohio than in the entire state of La.

What would be amazing is seeing thousands of Ohio st fans making the trip to Tiger stadium for the Alabama game chanting along with LSU fans, "Saban Blows, Go Joe."
