Humor me: LSU finishes 6-1 in sec

Bama finishes 7-1 with a loss to us. Who goes to the SECCG? After answering that rhetorical Q...what idle threats does Alleva make towards the Birmingham? Lol

Alabama.. Higher W% > our HTH win.
..and Alleva sits on his hands and does nothing.

cant happen, have to play 8 games somehow.

Without questions, Bama goes due to higher winning percentage. End of story.

Asked the same question and got anchored. Hope the same for you.

We should. Head to head tiebreaker. Win% only affects a 3way tie right?!

The UF game will be played somewhere, somehow. If LSu and Bama both have 1 loss that means Auburn lost to Bama and has 2 SEC loses.

As long as our loss is not another SEC loss

Standings are reflected by losses then head to head

Lack of detail in the OP is confusing people. You're implying LSU plays 1 less SEC game if the UF game is cancelled correct?

This is only a hypothetical if LSU Florida would be cancelled. Every team will play 8 games as always. Winning percentage is not the 3way tiebreaker. Why you ask? If 3 teams are 7-1, who has the higher winning percentage? lol

7-1 > 6-1
Put another way:
7-1 and 6-1 are not a tie, therefore a tiebreaker is not required.
That being said, the rules are based on the assumption that everybody plays the same number of conference games. If this contingency happens, I would bet the SEC would address it.

The Conference champion will be determined by a game between the two division champions. The team in each division with the highest percentage of wins during all regular season Conference competition will be declared division champion.

Imagine the melt if LSU wins the sec, but with two losses bama gets in the playoffs instead of LSU.

Assuming we get to play Florida (and we will) and Bama's loss is to us, LSU will go to the championship. That is assuming we are 7-1 in SEC play.
We have to dominate from here on out, but it's possible. With the talent LSU has and the newfound energy from the staff, the SEC better watch out.
